Annual H.E.L.P. Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
Thank you to our guests that attended H.E.L.P.’s first New Year’s Eve Gala for those in A Night’s Welcome, H.E.L.P. House Family Shelter, and Transitional Housing. The party was sponsored in part by Sister Marga Bagwell and Viteri Construction (special thanks to H.E.L.P. volunteer, Amanda Wilson Viteri and family) Also a big thanks to T-Mobile for providing cell phones for guests to connect with loved ones. The evening started with party hats, beads and airhorns, great food to nibble on, music and dancing; and then a time of reflection and testimony inwhich our guests shared stories of success while in case management programs with H.E.L.P. We counted down to midnight and then shared a sparkling cider toast. Pastor Charles Cheek, Pastor Steve Edwards, and Pastor Jim Moynihan also shared special messages with our guests. Thank you to staff members Jose Bynum and Linda Mason-Brookes for assisting and attending. A special thanks to Pastor Charles Cheek for helping with food preperation, planning, and set up. Together, we as a community “uplift those in crisis and end homelessness”.
T-Mobile in Hampton (Va.) donated phones for our Homeless and those in crisis to use to reach out to their families. Phones will be replenished so that Homeless and those in crisis will be able to use in their job searches at the HELP Day Center. Thank you to another corporate partner that is reaching out “to uplift people in crisis and to help end homelessness”.
Thank you to the 633rd LRS Material Management Flight at Langley Air Force Base for their generous donation of boots. Awesome! God is good!!!
T-Mobile is donating phones for folks to connect with family that cannot attend the New Year’s Eve Party. Thanks T-MOBILE!!!!
